Zurich - OEKO-TEX has revamped its brand identity and presented a new logo for its thirtieth birthday. The textile and leather goods certifier has also launched its new label, Responsible Business.

International textile and leather goods certifier OEKO-TEX has refreshed its brand identity for its thirtieth birthday. The Zurich-based association was established in 1992 and consists of 17 independent institutes in Europe and Japan. According to a press release from Testex AG, a new certification label called Responsible Business is also being launched at the same time.

This is driven by the fact that more and more national regulations require companies to implement human rights and environmental due diligence in their own company and international supply chains. The launch of the new OEKO-TEX Responsible Business certification is said to support brands, brand groups, retailers, and traders in the textile and leather industry with meeting these challenges. The Zurich-based testing and certification institute Testex represents OEKO-TEX in Switzerland and other countries. It is also one of the founding members of the association.

The logo will also be changed for the new brand identity. Now, it reflects the company’s scientific approach and the aim to protect nature. OEKO-TEX hopes to create trust within the textile and leather industry as well as for customers. OEKO-TEX Secretary General, Georg Dieners, commented: “Our values remain. In fact, they inspired our brand refresh.”
