Immensee - Airwork & Heliseilerei has established more and more competences and machines in Immensee in the canton of Schwyz over recent years. This has shortened production routes and supply chains and quantifiably improved processes. It also enables even greater consideration of client wishes.

Airwork & Heliseilerei GmbH (A&H), an equipment partner for the helicopter and drone industries, is offering newly tested load and passenger transport ropes for helicopters in fluorescent neon colors as well. First production of a neon green cord ordered by a customer started on an in-house weaver on June 14. According to a press release, the company’s repertoire now also includes flame-resistant protective covers in camouflage colors, for example for special operations.

According to the press release, the high flexibility and quality in the manufacture of transport and rescue equipment for helicopters are down to the company’s efforts to keep development and production in Switzerland. The information provided states that the company has “established more and more competences and machines in Immensee” over the past five years to achieve this aim. This has “significantly shortened” production routes and supply chains and “quantifiably improved processes”. Additionally, samples for new products can be created, adapted, and developed swiftly.

The ergonomic, triangular rescue harness Tyrah will also be manufactured completely in house from now on. It was developed by A&H in 2014 and recertified in spring 2023.

According to the company’s founder and head of development, Enrico Ragoni, the expanded production at the company’s own site will also have an effect on sustainability: “By bringing many production steps in house, we are saving thousands of kilometers per year and far more than 100 pointless hours on the roads while creating valuable jobs.” Metal is the only material that A&H does not process. Ragoni adds: “But this supplier is just five minutes down the road on my way to work.” ce/mm
