(CONNECT) The St.Gallen-based textile company Fischbacher 1819 has been selected as the official partner for this year's Orizzonti (Horizons) interior design concept at the Brera Design Apartment in Milan, announced a statement. The exhibition is themed “Connected Worlds” and was staged by designer duo Zanellato/Bortotto as part of Fuorisalone 2025. The aim is for each room to tell its own story through the use of Fischbacher fabrics. The apartment is open to the public by appointment until 25 May 2025.
The partnership enables Fischbacher 1819 to strengthen its position as a point of contact for textile solutions. “Our collections combine traditional weaving techniques with contemporary design language, offering ideal solutions for curated interiors thanks to a wide range of textures, colors and functionalities,” Camilla D. Fischbacher, Creative Director at Fischbacher 1819, is quoted as saying. “Projects like this really show how textiles can define spaces and evoke emotions.”
Fischbacher 1819 fabrics were chosen for different areas of the apartment. The QASHQAI curtain fabric from the Nomad collection, for example, was selected for the entrance area, which is inspired by rural summer landscapes. Two other Fischbacher fabrics feature in the dining room, while the designers used the VELVETSTRETCH upholstery fabric for their own Clay armchair design by Maroso. The transparent TIBBU curtain fabric was also chosen, to allow soft light to filter through. In the living area, two Vela sofas by Saba were upholstered with the EIGER fabric from The Drei Berge Collection. It was complemented in the room by the JUNGFRAU curtain fabric. Two fabrics were also used in the bedroom: the textile wall was covered with the embroidered JINPA DIAMOND fabric and the semi-transparent BENU EARTH RECYCLED FR curtain fabric completes the room. ce/nta
