Sports brand On joins forces with padel player Arturo Coello

(CONNECT) The Zurich-based sports brand On is collaborating with Arturo Coello, the world’s number one padel player. The Spanish padel star joins the On team of elite athletes as a partner for padel-specific product innovations, according to a statement. He is the youngest padel player to date to top the sport’s world rankings.

Over the next few months, Coello will collaborate with On’s innovation team in Switzerland to advance product development. He will contribute detailed input for the developent of shoes tailored to the specific demands of padel. The first of these footwear innovations is expected to be available in the summer of 2027.

“Arturo's in-depth technical feedback has already proven invaluable, and we are excited to work with him to develop products that bring On’s unique mix of performance, cutting-edge innovation, and functional style to the demands of this fast-expanding sport”, as Feliciano Robayna, Head of Athlete Management for Tennis at On, explains in the statement.

Arturo Coello also expressed his delight at this link-up. “I’m incredibly proud to partner with On as their first padel player athlete”, Coello states, adding that: “The brand is already pushing fresh ideas onto the court, and I am excited to work with its innovation team to help shape the next generation of performance shoes”. ce/nta
