(CONNECT) A delegation from the St.Gallen government, including President Beat Tinner and Marc Mächler, Head of the Department of Finance, have visited Bionic Composite Technologies AG to find out more about the business. At the St.Gallen-based company, which calls itself Biontec, CEO Stefan Germann demonstrated how St.Gallen embroidery technology is used to manufacture high-precision bionic fiber deposits and produce load-optimized lightweight components from carbon fibers, according to a statement.
It writes that the delegation gained direct insights into the industrial process chain. Biontec also demonstrated the requirements that the company, which belongs to Forster Rohner AG, meets in terms of quality, process stability, and scalability.
Biontec's components are used in areas such as measurement and medical technology, aviation, and defense. According to the company, this helps advance the Forster Group’s technological capabilities while also strengthening industrial value creation in St.Gallen. It adds that additionally, Emanuel Forster, Co-CEO of Forster Rohner AG and member of the Board of Directors of Biontec, provided an overview of the Forster Group and its broad positioning. ce/mm
