(CONNECT) The textile machinery manufacturer Rieter, which is headquartered in Winterthur, will for the first time be jointly exhibiting alongside its subsidiary Barmag at the textile machinery trade fair ITM 2026, which this year is taking place in Istanbul. According to a statement, the two companies intend to present their innovations in the areas of automation and digitalization.
These innovations represent key elements in Rieter’s efforts to implement its Vision 2027, which is focused on fully automating spinning mills. In this context, Rieter will be presenting solutions for the phased implementation of a fully automated spinning mill for ring and compact yarns. Moreover, the company will also be offering insights into collaborations with partners aimed at processing recycled fibers.
In the area of chemical fiber equipment, the compacting solutions provider Barmag will be presenting its complete portfolio of systems for filament yarn, staple fiber and nonwoven production, as well as solutions for the networked factory. Both companies will showcase technological, AI-powered solutions for automated operations in the areas of production, packaging and distribution.
Rieter acquired Barmag from OC Oerlikon in 2025. Barmag is based in Remscheid, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Its Swiss headquarters are located in Pfäffikon in the canton of Schwyz.
The ITM 2026 is taking place June 9-13, 2026, in Istanbul. Rieter and Barmag will be exhibiting in exhibition hall 7, where the subsidiaries Accotex, Bräcker, Graf, Novibra, Suessen, SSM and Temco will also be present. ce/ww
