(CONNECT) ALJA Nouveau AG has expanded its range of swimwear fabrics for the summer season. Customers can now choose from a wider selection of materials and designs to make their own custom swimwear. As the Aarau-based fabrics, sewing patterns, and sewing supplies retailer writes in a statement, the fabrics are available in specialty stores and in its online shop.
Under its eponymous brand, ALJA offers a wide range of base fabrics that can be used to design your own swimwear. “Sew your own swimwear: your style, your unique piece,” reads the concept description. The new collection reportedly responds to calls from swimmers for well-fitting bikinis or swimsuits that are “perfectly tailored to your needs.”
Among the range are jersey fabrics for bikinis and swimsuits, solid-color basics for simple designs, colorful prints for unique looks, and all the necessary extras, including haberdashery, lining fabrics, elastic bands, and other sewing supplies.
The fabrics vary in texture and look, ranging from UV-protection options (UPF 50) to recycled fiber compositions, as well as solid-colored and patterned styles. For families, there are stretchy fabrics suitable for bikinis, as well as durable, quick-drying materials that are ideal for making swim trunks. ce/heg
