(CONNECT) Bieri Tenta AG, a tarpaulin solutions specialist based in Grosswangen in the Swiss canton of Lucerne, has announced the successful completion of an important order. The client is Knie, the Swiss national circus, and the focus of the contract was “not on the action in the ring, but on what makes the circus mobile in the first place”. The tarpaulins were destined for four swap bodies, a type of freight container, belonging to the circus.
According to the statement, the tarpaulins displaying the circus lettering were constructed using Bieri Tenta’s Side Curtain system. These are suspended on rollers and can be moved forward and backward like curtains. Thanks to the use of handcrafted technology, the covers reportedly enable fast loading and unloading of the vehicles, greater safety, and optimal tarpaulin tension, making the swap bodies “safe on the road” while allowing the circus's branding to “remain visible at the same time”, writes Bieri Tenta.
