(CONNECT) The CHT Group, which is headquartered in Tübingen, Germany and operates CHT Switzerland AG in Oberriet in the Swiss canton of St.Gallen, is extending its digital textile treatment offering. The specialty chemicals manufacturer has added the BEZAKTIV Salt Advisor application to its CHT Textile Dyes app. The new tool allows users to calculate and adjust salt concentrations when dyeing cotton with BEZAKTIV dyes, according to a statement. BEZAKTIV is a CHT brand.
Salt concentration plays a crucial role in reactive cotton dyeing. Unlike general recommendations, the new application takes into account the specific conditions and dye formula used in the process. Users can evaluate changes in salt concentration of up to 20 grams per liter of dye solution, optimizing dye uptake, color nuances and cost calculation efficiency.
The new BEZAKTIV Salt Advisor is based on a mathematical model developed by the CHT Group that considers the salt-dependent dye uptake behavior of all BEZAKTIV dyes under various dyeing conditions. According to the statement, parameters such as dye type, dye and salt costs, liquor ratio, and the type of salt and alkali used are all included in the calculation. The supplementary tool is available free of charge to CHT Textile Dyes app users. ce/ww
